- Established in the year 1963, at the behest of B.L.W. Management, to provide Quality Education to its wards in the school. St. John’s has emerged as premier Educational Institution in its past forty six glorious years of its existence. The dynamic educationalists like Rev. Fr. Aurelious, Mr. Xavier Pinto, Fr. Joseph, Fr. Peter, Fr. Jacob, Fr. Lawrence,Fr. David and Fr. Susai Raj had rendered their valuable service in the past years. St. John’s, along with imparting knowledge tries to foster innovation, cultivate values, create creativity, build character, instill self discipline and enkindle wisdom in the lives of the students which in turn has brought forth change and transformation in the lives of people of Varanasi as well as in the whole of Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
- In the field of education teachers are the light that dispel the darkness of ignorance of the students .Therefore the major responsibility of a teacher towards a child to make him/her realize, to think and to apply the knowledge in the order to mold the life of the children .On this process,both the teachers and the students have to cross the toughest time of the given prominent priority in day to day life . The mobile has specially become essential instrument than books in the hands of the students.
- As the students browse various information in the web ,they come to a conclusion that they can learn/do any task without the help of a teacher .To certain extend it is true .But the knowledge without proper understanding and assimilation is waste .Therefore the teacher plays a greater role in the students
- As far as Emotional Quotient is concerned, students have to learn in the classroom situations. A single person can’t create a society .He needs to become a rational and a social being to create a better society and humanity .That’s why the bond between a students and teacher need to be developed and enriched .A teacher needs to become a hand to the teacher, only enlightenment will take place and ignorance will be removed.
- Keeping in mind that to teach is to touch a life forever ,we believe in holistic education that encompasses academics ,co-curricular activities ,sports education and life-skill learning .The campus ,sports and academic facilities all the bear testimony to this belief .As we venture ahead and spread our wings in this spectacular city of value -based education our endeavour is to strike a balance between state of the art infrastructure and a robust curriculum that opens the door to global platforms for our peace loving and problem solving students. Activities and events related to value education environment, health education ,games and sport, visual and performing arts ,culture and heritage ,personality development are effectively woven into the main fabric of school curriculum.
